A 5-1 win for the Canucks tonight put two Alberta teams down in two nights. Great to see Mason Raymond get his first hat trick and for Wellwood to get a much needed goal. This win brings the Canucks up another couple of notches in the standings. Not such a Merry Christmas in Alberta.

Oilers down and Calgary waiting to lose to the Canucks tonight. The game against the Oilers was not an extraordinary game but the Canucks played 60 minutes of hockey as a team and won. The win puts them in 8th place. A a win tonight could move them up another notch. I’d like to see Welwood get his game back on track. He is better than he has been playing this year.

Our entertainment room downstairs is beginning to look Canuck themed. This year for Christmas I got some Canuck lights and ornaments for the small tree we have there. Love it. I will love it even more when the Canucks beat the Oilers 5-4 on boxing day. Merry Christmas everyone. Keep your stick on the ice.

bertuzzifront I feel the game on Friday against  Washington was the Canucks best game of the year to date for the Canucks with a win . They played a full 60 minutes of hockey. Lots of action and a great game. If they play the same way tonight against St. Louis it should be another badly needed two points.

Danny’s hat trick was nice to see Thursday night. He is starting to look his old self again. His brother is having one of his best years this year and is up close to the top in the scoring race. Tonight’s game against the Wild is one win they need to get into the top 8 in the Western Conference. The have beaten the Wild both games this year and have to make this the third. Visit the Canucks website or watch Canucks TV. I predict a 5-2 win for the Canucks tonight. For the games not on regular TV you can listen to the games on Internet Radio Broadcasts

It was a funny 5-3 loss to the Hurricanes who were lucky to win this game by some lucky breaks. Vancouver didn’t play really bad but did not play really good either. They should have been able to win this game which would have put them in 8th place in the Western Division. Oh well, they have the Predators on Tuesday. Put this funny game behind you and win the next 3 or 4 in a row.
