If the Canucks don’t get pulled away from their game tonight I believe they will take home the Stanley Cup…Yeah!

The Stanley Cup will be in the house at the TD Garden tonight and the Vancouver Canucks (lead series 3-2) have a chance to bring it home by closing out the series with a win in Game Six over the Boston Bruins. After turning aside all 31 shots fired in his direction in Game Five, Roberto Luongo will undoubtedly be in the spotlight once again in Game Six, but it will be Vancouver’s offence that needs to steal the show in a big way to give them their best chance at sealing the deal. Despite leading the series, the Canucks have been out-scored 14-6.

Danny flew to Boston yesterday but naturally no one is saying if he is playing tonight. I think if he is 90% he will play. Malholtra played well last game winning 86% of his face offs but I suspect he will play even better tonight with a little more ice time as well. Boston will want to win tonight like they have never wanted to win before. If they lose, they may as well get their golf gear ready and stock up on ice tea!

The Vancouver Canucks (lead series 2-0) have an opportunity to take a stranglehold in their series against the Boston Bruins tonight as the scene shifts to the TD Garden in Beantown for Game Three of the Stanley Cup Final. With yesterday being a cross-continent travel day for both teams, neither had the opportunity to practice and, as a result, no lineup news was revealed. However, inquiring minds will be looking for an update on Dan Hamhuis, who missed Saturday’s tilt after suffering from an undisclosed injury but also flew down to Boston with the team. Boston will host the cities first Stanley Cup Final game in 21 years.

I think Boston will come out hitting hard tonight in Vancouver and the Canucks will have to hit back hard but, stay away from the penalties. In fact if it’s like the previous series they have been in where the officiating has sucked the Canucks could be hurt. Hopefully, the refs let them play Stanley Cup Playoff hockey and don’t screw it up.

I feel the Canucks will win tonight but it will be a hard fought game. Overall, the Canucks will win the finals in 6 games. Yeah….we are all Canucks!

"What type of tree would you be?"

Strange questions call for strange answers, and there were plenty of them during the 2011 Stanley Cup Final Pre-Series Media Availability at Rogers Arena on Tuesday. The Canucks faced upwards of 300 media from throughout North America, all trying to get to know the team better. More
