Yes, summer in the Okanagan Valley is the best place to be but winter is great too. This is a photo of our front yard from the fire pit area. It’s nice to be outside in the white stuff breathing clean air and warming up later in the house.

A good day for BC sports and my wife and I. Last Saturday Andrea and I went to Boston (Vancouver) Pizza to watch the Canucks play the Sharks and win. We had great appetizers. main course, and I won two free drinks since I picked Hodgsen as one of the players who would score a goal and he scored twice.

After a great time at Boston Pizza we headed down to Prosper Place with two tickets we received from Home Depot to watch the Kelowna Rockets play the Vancouver Giants. The Rockets were down 3-0 after the first period but fought their way back to tie the game, go to overtime, and win it in the shootout.

The detached garage needed a bit of work to make it a workable shop. I ran 50 amp 240 volt power to it and wired the inside with plugs, lights, thermostat and heater. Next were the doors. When you opened the old doors they drug on the ground until they fell off. Not good. Besides, I wanted to put in a man-door to prevent heat loss in the winter. Simple.

Make it light, easy to work with, and efficient.
