One of the best games the Canucks have played this year

The Canucks played a solid 60 minutes of hockey tonight. Schneider would have got his shutout if the ref didn’t deflect the puck with his skate to the Chicago player. A good game to watch as we near the playoffs. Hanson and Higgins with Roy are looking good as the third line.

Update 11:55 a.m. – There are reports one home is on fire.
Update 12:04 p.m. – Highway 97 is closed at Ponderosa Drive to the south and just south of the Okanagan Connector to the north. Motorists heading from West Kelowna are still able to access the Connector.
A wildfire burning near Highway 97 at Drought Hill south of Gorman’s Mill has grown to seven hectares in size.
Fire information officer Kayla Pepper says the Forest Ministry has four aircraft, two helicopters and eight firefighters en route to assist Peachland Fire and Rescue.
Residents of Seclusion Bay Road are being evacuated, many by rescue watercraft.
Evacuated residents are being taken to, or asked to go to the Westbank Community Hall.
An Emergency Operations Centre is also being set up at the main Kelowna Fire Hall on Enterprise Way.
The fire apparently began near Seclusion Bay and climbed the hill at Highway 97.
Highway 97 is closed in both directions near the fire.
Traffic heading from West Kelowna can access the Connector, however, traffic from Peachland is not able to.
