It was a great weekend in BC if you like sports. The BC Lions, Kelowna Rockets, and the Vancouver Canucks, all won their games.Vancouver Whitecaps are on their way to the playoffs. Wow, it’s great to live in British Columbia, Canada.

While maybe not a player with super skills, Gino’s heart was always in the game 100%. When the Canucks were down and not doing well in a game, Gino had a way to turn the game around and the fans would chant, Gino, Gino. I will never forget the beginning of a year in the mid-nineties when Gino was playing on Pavel Bure’s line, Gino was getting goals and for a short period of time was leading the Canucks point race. He loved the game and the fans. The fans loved him. I hear there is no cure, we are going to miss you Gino.

Read Gino’s letter:

My son, Ian, gave me a Canucks flag for the antenna on my car. Thanks son.

My wife and grandma gave me gifts that help me to be more of a Canuck for the next game.

Some socks to keep my feet warm and a new cup to put my rum and coffee in. Go Canucks.

Last night was a bad luck game against Dallas. Tonight was a well played game by the Canucks against the Blackhawks. Eddie Lack is the goalie to watch.

The Vancouver Canucks win two straight against the Oilers on Friday and the Bruins on Saturday. The Canucks are looking hot and the team to watch.

The Kelowna Rockets win two on the road against Regina Pats and Brandon Wheat Kings, Rockets too are hot, hot, hot, and on top of the WHL in points. They have only lost 3 games this year.

Lounge played a solid game and his team played like the team the Canucks can be.

I am dissappointed that Corey is is no longer a Canuck. I know they were unable to move Luongo because of his contract However. I do believe Corey will be one of the best goalies in the NHL. Let’s hope their first round pick makes it somewhat ok.

The Canucks played a solid 60 minutes of hockey tonight. Schneider would have got his shutout if the ref didn’t deflect the puck with his skate to the Chicago player. A good game to watch as we near the playoffs. Hanson and Higgins with Roy are looking good as the third line.
